TheraRocker™ is developing an innovative therapeutic motion platform designed to provide controlled, rhythmic rocking in two configurations: a wheelchair-accessible platform that requires no transfer from the wheelchair, and an integrated-seat version for individuals who do not use a wheelchair.

TheraRocker™ is an adaptive therapeutic rocking platform being developed to provide controlled, rhythmic motion for individuals with limited mobility. The system is being designed in both wheelchair-accessible and integrated-seat configurations, with future capabilities incorporating sensor-driven monitoring and intelligent motion control.
Individuals with limited mobility may spend prolonged periods with few opportunities for safe, controlled movement. TheraRocker™ is being developed to provide accessible therapeutic motion while reducing the need for transfers, specialized positioning, and continuous caregiver involvement.
TheraRocker™ combines an accessible rocking platform with adaptive technology intended to monitor and personalize therapeutic motion. The wheelchair-accessible configuration allows a user to remain in their own wheelchair while receiving controlled rocking motion, creating a platform for future sensor integration, data collection, and individualized therapy protocols.
TheraRocker™ is currently in the research, engineering, and prototype-development stage. Current efforts are focused on refining the mechanical platform, developing intelligent control and sensor capabilities, and preparing for structured testing and validation.
TheraRocker™ is Patent Pending. A U.S. non-provisional patent application has been filed. As development continues, additional intellectual property protection may be pursued for TheraRocker™'s adaptive control, sensing, and related technologies.
TheraRocker™ is being developed for individuals who experience limited mobility, including wheelchair users, older adults, rehabilitation patients, and others who may benefit from accessible therapeutic movement. Specific clinical applications and therapeutic benefits will be evaluated through future research and testing.
Future development is expected to include engineering validation, usability testing, sensor-based measurement, and structured research evaluating the safety, feasibility, and potential therapeutic effects of controlled rocking motion. Data generated through these studies will help guide subsequent product development and clinical research.
TheraRocker™ is not yet commercially available. The platform is progressing through engineering, prototype testing, research, and validation in preparation for future commercialization.

Not at all. While the wheelchair-accessible TheraRocker™ is designed to allow users to experience therapeutic rocking without transferring from their wheelchair, a TheraRocker™ Seated Version is also planned for individuals who do not use a wheelchair.
The seated configuration is envisioned with accessibility and ease of transfer in mind, allowing individuals to enter from a standing position and comfortably transition into the integrated seat.
Together, the two configurations have the potential to bring adaptive therapeutic rocking to millions of people—from wheelchair users to the rapidly growing population of older adults and others who may benefit from accessible therapeutic motion.
TheraRocker™ began with something deeply personal.
As a U.S. Air Force veteran and paramedic with more than 20 years of experience in emergency medical services, I had seen countless individuals in nursing homes and care facilities spend much of their day sitting still—often with limited opportunities for meaningful movement, activity, or engagement.
But the problem became personal when I returned home from working overseas and saw my own mother experiencing that same reality. Her health had declined, fast, and much of her time was spent either in bed or in a wheelchair. She passed away before I could build the solution I still wish had existed for her.
I knew there had to be a better way.
TheraRocker™ grew from that experience—and from the belief that limited mobility should not have to mean limited opportunities for movement, engagement, and quality of life.
